Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme created by The Broke and The Bookish |
So how is this for a first post? I figured it was as good a place to start as any, I haaaaaaate writing introduction posts. I never know what to say. I groan and grumble and end up posting something terrible that just says my name or something. Better to get right to it, no? So here are the top 10 books on my Autumn TBR.
I hope to get to all of these over the next month or so, but more than likely some will be switched out for other books or pushed off the list altogether (because I'm a massive procrastinator and have no shame in admitting it). The list isn't a solid be-all-end-all to what I'll read before winter, but they're books I would like to get around to! So we'll see how it goes.
I think the only one I've read was Inferno. I enjoyed it but it took me a while to get into its style. Best of luck reading all the books on your list!
ReplyDeleteI don't doubt it'll be challenging but I do love a good classic. But when I don't like one I hate it, we'll see how this one goes! I'm hoping for the former haha.
DeleteWow, this is your very first blog post? Congrats, I hope you'll enjoy your blogging career! ;D
ReplyDeleteI read THE SILVER LININGS PLAYBOOK after having watched the movie 2 or 3 years ago and even though I didn't like it as much as the film I still enjoyed it a lot, so I hope you'll like it, too!
I haven't read any Ruta Sepetys book yet but I still have OUT OF THE EASY waiting on my shelves for me and I really need to read it soon :D
Thank you!
DeleteI've seen the movie and I actually didn't like it, but it was interesting enough for me to put the book on my to-read list. Plus I love reading anything to do with mental illness.
I've had this one for a few months now, it was so popular a while ago on BookTube/Book Twitter and stuff that I thought I'd give it a go!
Congrats on your first blog post! Night by Elie Wiesel is an amazing book. I like the variety in your choices.
ReplyDeleteMy TTT is here: https://4thhouseontheleft.wordpress.com/2016/09/27/top-ten-tuesday-autumn-tbr-list/
Thank you! I'm really looking forward to that one, I've seen nothing but high praise all over for it.
DeleteA TBR list seems like a great place to start your first post! I've not read any of these, but I've been meaning to get around to The Raven Boys - I've heard so many rave reviews.

A friend of mine, Jes actually sent me that one. Steivfater is her favourite so I'm looking forward to that one anyway!
DeleteI have Orange is the New Black, and haven't yet read it. I've heard good things though.
ReplyDeleteI'm about 2/3s of the way through that. You can see where the inspiration and some of the storylines in the TV show come from, but honestly it's a decent book on it's own merit.
DeleteSilver Linings Playbook, is a great read! I hope you like it as much as I did. Have you seen the movie yet? Great Top Ten :DMy Top Ten Tuesday!
ReplyDeleteI'm looking forward to it! I actually didn't like the movie, but I have a feeling that I'll like the book. Thank you!
DeleteI've not read any of them, but I have had The Book Of Lost Things on my TBR pile for years! | My TBR.
ReplyDeleteIt got such good response that I figured I'd pick it up. I'm really looking forward to that one. Plus how gorgeous is the cover?? I'm a sucker for books with illustrative designs rather than photography.
DeleteOoo, lovely list!! Happy reading!!

Thank you!
DeleteYay for your first post!!! Welcome to the book blogging community :) I've read and loved a lot of your list :) You should TOTALLY read The Raven Boys. It's a super interesting and complex series. I also really liked that Columbine book. It was a more in-depth character study of the perpetrators than other books I read before on the subject. Also I LOVE Matthew Quick, but I must say the Silver Linings Playbook movie was better than the book for me. Jennifer Lawrence SLAYED with that character!
ReplyDeleteThank you! I've heard nothing but praise for The Raven Cycle series, I'm hoping it'll be a new favourite whenever I get around to actually starting it haha. I've never read anything about Columbine, but it's an interesting subject to say the least, I'm glad to here you liked it. Oop, I didn't like the movie! Hopefully the book does it better for me.
DeleteI hope you enjoy The Raven Boys!
